Time between sending the application to getting an interview

Many of you have asked me how long it takes from sending the application to being called for the interview. The answer, as anything else in Indonesia, is very arbitrary. Depending on the needs of Susi Air, sometimes guys are contacted within 1-2 weeks. This is especially so if they are looking for guys with high hours and you fit that category. Expect anything from 3 weeks to 3 months.

Also, after completing the interview, it may take up to 1 month to get an answer. I have heard of guys who were told at the interview that they had passed and that they were hired on the spot. This is very rare though! So don't get your hopes up too high! If you have any questions then drop a comment and I will be happy to answer them.

  3. I would wait another week and then send them a polite email. Regarding the profile they are looking for, its hard to say. We are short of co-pilots at the moment, so I am guessing they are looking for guys with low hours. Its impossible to tell though. I wish you luck!

  4. Short of copilots? What a pity!!! I have received an invitation to go on december, but I´m not a low time pilot. Anyway, I´ll go and I´ll try to do my best and we´ll see what happens.
Greetings from a NAT pilot ;-)

  5. Hi, what do you think are there any possibility to get a co pilot job without civilian license at Susi Air?
I'm a military Pilot and I did my training in NFTC (Nato Flight Training Canada), right now I'm on a helicopter conversion course, but I'm thinking about to leave the airforce.
I have 138,3 hour actual and 49,8 hour sim on the CT-156 Harvard 2 (Beechcraft T-6 Texan II). So I have some experiance but I have less the 200 hours.
    Thanks Mate

  7. Hi Reeceb

Due to the nature of the company, people come and go all the time so recruitment is continuous. Send them your CV and see what happens.

    Good luck!

  9. Hey Daniel

Susi accepts FAA CPLs and organizes the conversion to Indonesian CPL during the training.

  11. Hi Ifal

I don't think you can join without a CPL, but Susi is keen to get more Indonesians and she is actually planning to start a flying school where she sponsors the cadets and then they are bonded to Susi Air for a few years afterwards. This will probably happen next year. Maybe write HR an email and introduce yourself, see what happens!
